A new innovation centre for staff and visitors showcasing Henkel’s 3D printing business. The new space is also a collaboration space for 3D printing partners, and 3D printing startup businesses. Typical sectors for the 3D prints include medical / automotive / and electrical products.

Jennings Design Studio developed our vision from concept to reality — they were a key part of the team

“3D printing is a fast and innovative technology and our new Innovation and Interaction Center needed to showcase this. Jennings Design Study developed our vision from concept to reality in a very short timeline, internalizing our requirements quickly and stretching us to implement creative architectural solutions. They were a key part of the team that produced a center that our staff are inspired to work in and proud to share with our customers.” JDS workplace architecture and interior design service for the Henkel 3D Print Centre included bespoke reception desk design, office space and furniture, lighting design, environmental graphics and project management.

We designed the building to encourage a collaborative feel and atmosphere. 3D printing is at the cutting edge of technology advances and the building needed to reflect this, working closely with Amsterdam based specialists Aectual, we designed special 3D printed floors, walls and furniture, a unique solution and the first of its kind in environmental graphics in Ireland.

We led the design team on this challenging fast track project, where we presented proposals using full Virtual Reality to help the clients visualize the finished building. Through project management, architectural vision and attention to detail the result has been an outstanding success, and the building is already full to capacity.
