A complete refurbishment of Ireland’s most iconic Department Store. Following a flood, we were selected to provide architecture and interior design for a contemporary refurbishment of the entire retail store, a protected structure 15,000m² / 160,000ft², comprising famous brands and Clerys departments over 4 retail floors. Responsible for interior architecture, retail and graphic design, bespoke lighting and storage solutions. We worked closely with the clients over a rapid 4 month programme. This critically acclaimed new design assisted Clerys achieve increased revenues, while protecting one of Dublin’s most loved institutions. Photography by Gareth Byrne.

“Brian and his team provided the support and know how for us to feel confident that the vision we had for Clerys was deliverable”

He listened to the brief and helped to extract the best of this thinking and returned with the design brief completed. Brian and his team achieved through their architectural skills a complete store image that has seen the store elevated from an old, dated store to a modern contemporary space. I found it a good experience to work with another creative who understood from the outset the vision / goal of a contemporary space combined with the need for the store to remain commercially relevant to the customer base. Brian and his team were always flexible in their approach and understanding of the nuances that were required to achieve the overall goal. It is clear that Brian and his team have succeeded when seeing the accolades that have been received for the work.

I would recommend Brian and his team, and would work with Jennings Design Studio again should the opportunity arise.
